November ’25 Edition: Magnify the LORD With Me
I didn’t truly realize it was November until like, yesterday. It’s just slowly settling in that the holiday season approacheth and the end of the year cometh. Despite the rush that inevitably comes with the holiday season, I’m so excited for the simple moments of peace it brings. I’m so thankful for everything this year has brought! Praise God!
September & October ’25: Autumn Says So
The autumn leaves have begun gathering against the curb, and I like to step in them when I leave my apartment to get in my car each morning. They crunch so nicely. The air has had a bite in it when I wake up, and today I pulled out my fingerless gloves (finger numbness prevention–I have bad circulation in my hands).
God has exhibited His faithfulness to me again and again over the last weeks. I’m in awe of His goodness, His life, and His willingness to come find me when I run!
July & August ’25: Cathedrals
Hey y’all people,
It’s been a while. A side quest to Scotland and the move from Brussels back home to SC has taken up quite a bit of my time and mental space, which means it’s been crickets on y’all’s end for a while. But I’m back, and I’m excited.
July and August have been so full. From the vibrant experience of Europe to the coming home and settling back into old rhythms, the Lord has been so kind to me! I’m thankful for the summer I’ve had, and the summer you’ve had. He’s so good.
June ’25: On Courage and Kindness
As some of you may know, I'm spending this summer working at a church in Brussels, Belgium. Yes, you read that right! Your Southern girl that's never left the United States is spending two months in Europe. I'm about halfway through my time here, and I love Brussels...
May ’25: What To Do At the End of the Waiting?
May is the fifth month of the year. Spring has come, the pollen is gone, school reaches toward its close. For some reason, I’ve been in a little bit of a rut this month. After such an exhausting winter and spring, my body and heart are ready to slow down. At the same time, I crave variety–I want to change things up a little (and this time, I’m not interested in chopping off my hair).
April ’25: Suffering Savior
Why is the month of April so crazily full? Between rainstorms and raspberries, manuscripts and music, it has been an amazing and crazy month!
March ’25: Garden City
It appears that spring is emerging. When I retrieved my car, Blueberry, from the body shop yesterday, there was a thick coating of yellow dust settled all over it. I had to use that delightful little spray/windshield wiper contraption to see the road clearly.
But it’s not just pollen that’s come. Not just tulips lining the sidewalk by one of my favorite study spots, and not just the sudden urge to eat daily bananas (spring makes me want fruit and Easter-colored things!). March reminds me of Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” The question: What’s He doing?
February ’25: Seeking His Love
Happy February! As I put the finishing touches on this letter, I’m so thankful for the love that God has shown to me and so many others. From deep friendships to happy-tear soaked weddings to Christ’s death on the cross, we are so abundantly covered in love. I encourage you this month to press into Christ and His presence!
January ’25: Wanting More
Happy New Year!
January greeted me with a sprinkle of snow and a shower of sickness. I haven’t been feeling well for several weeks, but God is faithful and I’m on the mend. When you think of me, pray for my health as my constitution has descended below the level of a Victorian child. 😂
I love January. It’s a time of new hopes and fresh starts, a time to take a breath and try again. I don’t set a lot of New Year’s Resolutions, but I do enjoy choosing a new word of the year and trying some new things. This year, the trying has made me thirsty…
